[Voila] Coffee, Tea, Paper?

Seastar, and MOH, aging paper with a tea bath.

Turns out tea is a little too light for what we wanted...

Plenty of leftover coffee grounds from my bar studies.

After baking in the oven at 200 degrees for about 2 minutes,
we had to wipe off the dusty coffee powder.

Nice!
Just one way of using the paper.

[Voila] Chocolat

I've been having some chocolate cravings...and saw that Safeway and Trader Joe's has delicious looking chocolates.  I wondered how it would add to a dessert table....

Safeways - Meringue Cookies
Trader Joe's Orange Sticks (also in Raspberry too)

[Voila] Origami Name Cards by the Mister

Update: We decided to go with the crane since it held the name cards more securely than the horse and swan.  Ah, but how whimsical these animals look, especially the horse.

[Voila] Hand-drawn Map

A birthday card and 100+ folded maps from my dear cousin.

[Voila] Invitations

Our finished invitations (blurred for privacy).
Inspiration here.

When Taro proposed, he used a short fairytale based on our own relationship.  When the wedding planning started, we wanted to capture that moment somehow - warm and whimsical.  My friend Angel designed our invitations with this idea in mind.  In order to save trees and money, we signed up with WeddingWire.com to host our website and rsvp.  Since the URL would be too long for our RSVP bookmarks, we just purchased the domain - a small cost compared to rsvp stamps costs.
